The 2024 OCIYAC New York TOP International Illustration Masters Award (S2) is a grand celebration filled with artistic passion and creativity. This competition is not just a showcase of illustration art; it is a profound mission to convey the ideals of peace and shared prosperity through visual expression. Behind each piece, we have witnessed the artists' deep understanding and emotional response to the theme "Peace: History, Present, and Future," showcasing diverse perspectives and a shared concern from young artists around the world.Throughout the six months of judging, our panel of esteemed judges—including Professor Victoria Thorne from the University of Washington, Dr. John F. Larner, Chairman of the New York Contemporary Art Center, and other distinguished art scholars—has witnessed the incredible talent of the participants. Art serves as a bridge that transcends language and cultural barriers, and each piece tells a unique story, expressing profound thoughts.The high quality and rich creativity of the works have left us in awe time and again, making the judging process both challenging and rewarding. In fact, we encountered several instances where multiple pieces received the same score, which not only reflects the extraordinary talent of the contestants but also highlights the deep understanding and interpretation of the theme by the new generation of artists.From reflections on history to considerations of the present and visions for the future, each illustration tells a unique story that resonates deeply with our hearts. Whether through delicate brushstrokes or bold compositions, the hope for peace and concern for the future of children conveyed through these works remain with us.Today, we are not only celebrating those artists who have earned accolades but also paying tribute to all the participants.
